Mother Ocean Blue was born from a simple observation: the generation that will inherit the ocean knows almost nothing about it.
Founder Story
Zakia Rashid's Journey
With more than 25 years in global branding and marketing, Zakia Rashid has spent her career shaping stories that influence behaviour. As a certified PADI Dive Master and marine conservation advocate, she has also witnessed first-hand how fragile ocean ecosystems have become.
Mother Ocean Blue emerged when Zakia discovered her teenage sons were expected to complete GCSE environmental coursework with almost no structured support on earth sciences or ocean literacy. She built MOB to close that gap with practical education, stronger business action, and smarter conservation funding.
